Chapter 7

Settled into FRANCE |

We have found a wonderful French church!
They have taken us in and are a very encouraging part of our lives.
Although it is hard for me (Marlo) to understand the messages, before and after the service people take the time to help me learn to speak French.

The top window is our apartment, taken from the driveway.
It is a farm so we have barn animals to teach Maneesha how to make animal sounds (an essential part of learning to talk). Her favorite is the goat!
Yes we have snow, a little reminder of home. This is taken from our living room window, looking to the driveway. Across the road is a park for Maneesha to play in, when summer comes.

This is our living space!
I am in the corner of the room taking the picture. To my write is the window and the front door right beside the fridge.
On the left you can see our bedroom door (the bedroom is about the same size as this room) and the couch is across from the coffee table at the bottom of the picture.
So this is our kitchen/dinningroom/playroom/livingroom! Cozy quarters!
We are driving the mission vehicle a mini-mini van. (All vehicles are miniature here in Europe) There is a small grocery store walking distance from the apartment, and everything else you have to drive. Maybe this is why they make Baguette a long bread, I can feed Maneesha from the front seat of the van!
Maneesha had Bronchitis for about a week. Lots of sleepless nights, and many tears (baby and parents).

Message from Maneesha....."Do not put food up your nose, it feels kinda funny!"

Well Maneesha got her appetite back and is making new friends.
Maneesha has stolen everyones hearts! The French words I understand people saying about her are; cheeks, eyes, pretty, happy, smile. She fits that description well!
I am taking up a sewing class, this is the "fabric store". It is an open market every Saturday it is in our area. Selling everything from veggies to sewing supplies.
Josh is building desks and shelving for the mission office. Helping anywhere and everywhere he is needed. He has a full time job at the shop and a part time job baby sitting Maneesha when I am in school.
I am set for my French classes. I am also being , and have joined a french sewing class to help use and practice the french I learn.
